Forums, seminars and feature displays aim to offer insights on
new applications, concepts and technologies
Asia’s largest and most comprehensive woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior trade show, CIFM / interzum guangzhou, is poised to open on March 28 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Canton (Guangzhou) China with a precise focus.
Spotlighting “innovation”, two official organizer-hosted forums themed “Material Revolution: Innovative Furniture Components & Raw Materials” and “New Usage Trends of Natural Materials” respectively will shed new light on the future of furniture production and technologies through industry veterans as guest speakers.
Aimed at enhancing the global awareness of wood as a natural, environmental-friendly and renewable form of high quality building material and promoting creativity, a special display in Hall 14.1 featuring winning works of the “Design Innovation - Exploring the Possibilities of Swedish Wood” design contest co-hosted by exhibitor Swedish Wood and the Department of Architecture of the Shanghai Jiaotong University will debut at CIFM / interzum guangzhou 2014.
Co-locating once again with the prestigious China International Furniture Fair (CIFF), CIFM / interzum guangzhou will occupy130,000 square meters across Area B and Area C of the Pazhou Complex. The five-day event is projected to attract 1,120 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions and pull in more than 60,000 trade visitors from more than140 countries and regions for sourcing.
Well received by overseas manufacturers and suppliers, the international halls 11.1, 14.1 and 15.1will bring together 279 exhibitors, including nine overseas exhibitor delegations: Germany, the United States /Canada, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Chile, AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council), Canada Wood and Swedish Wood. A mainstay at CIFM / interzum guangzhou for the 11th consecutive year, the German Pavilion will feature 20 companies under its roof showcasing advanced production technologies and cutting tools, while the AHEC Pavilion will see a stronger presence with 26 exhibitors.
