CIFM / interzum guangzhou 2021 opens in China to new furniture trading trends

Asia’s largest woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior decoration trade fair throws open its doors today to eager exhibitors and trade visitors in South China.

This year's exhibition will be held once again with the China International Furniture Fair Phase II (Office Show) with a combined exhibition area of 300,000 square meters, featuring more than 1,600 participating companies. Some 100,000 buyers and visitors are expected make this annual pilgrimage.

In addition to well-known international brands, a host of new entrants from home and abroad will also make their debut at the event, injecting new momentum into the industry. The latest edition of the event zooms in on the four areas of hardware, machinery, decorative materials and upholstery accessories, and seeks to efficiently connect exhibitors and buyers with clear procurement needs through diversified modes such as InnvoTour, as well as online and offline business matching.

Exhibitors are poised to meet face-to-face with representatives from some of China’s and overseas biggest enterprises such as Oppein , Vifa, De Rucci, Shangpin Home, Kuka Home and Bravat over the next days to discuss partnership possibilities.

On the show opening day, the 20 PLUS 20 Awards Ceremony 2019-2020 Annual List Finalists for excellent furniture accessories was held with winning companies receiving their well-deserved honors.

Visitors are able to check out the innovative 2018-2020 shortlisted products, which are on display throughout the four-day period.

With the debut of the Business Package Plus (BPP) to assist affected overseas brands maintain their presence at the show, buyers can still continue to source innovative products and solutions from all over the world.

Adding buzz to the area, the Agricultural Trade Office of the US Consulate General in Guangzhou will – for the first time - hold a seminar themed "Back to Nature - Modern Wood Structure", which will be streamed live on the online conference platform and will see various industry veterans and academics share their expertise and deep dive into the subject matter.

A series of insightful forums by leaders of each vertical field will shed light on advanced technology applications focusing on topics including smart home systems, home lighting, furniture lifting technology, and new materials and technologies, and examine future growth areas to bring tangible benefits to all participants.

In recent years, smart manufacturing has been an important strategic development replacing traditional mass production model.
